Senior Finance Analyst – Workday Financials
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
Our partner, a growing facilities services firm, is seeking an experience financial analyst with Workday Financials expertise to join its team and play a pivotal role in the optimization and maintenance of their financial systems.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial leadership to field operation and corporate teams based throughout the United States. This hands-on position is responsible for financial reporting and analysis. In this role you will support new business sales costings, financial planning and forecasting, analysis of existing business through trends, key performance indicators and variances, preparation of annual budgets and recommendations for process improvements.
Role Responsibilities
- Support the Corporate Controller and senior leadership in financial decision-making
- Assist operations and sales teams with client negotiations and proposals; build strong client finance relationships
- Collaborate with Operations on budgets, forecasts, business development support, and variance analysis
- Drive an effective review and control process with the Controller, engaging key functional teams
- Lead cross-functional efforts to improve and automate financial processes
- Develop internal and client-facing reports with insights on financial performance and KPIs
- Ensure clear understanding and reporting of contract performance in the P&L
- Uphold ethical standards and enforce strong financial controls; interpret and evaluate project contracts
- Apply broad accounting and financial analysis expertise to complex business issues
- Support project teams with contract changes, compliance, payments, and reporting
- Analyze financial data and build models to guide decisions
- Oversee accounts receivable and support collections
- Assist with monthly closes and project analysis
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile project-related accounts
- Communicate effectively, solve problems proactively, and thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years related managerial finance analysis experience with strong analytic and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Education – Certification: Bachelor’s Degree, CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Demonstrated technical skills in GAAP, regulatory compliance, internal controls, process improvement, project accounting, job costing, and Workday Finance and Adaptive
- Sets clear strategic goals aligned with evolving business and client needs while delivering on short-term priorities
- Identifies and implements solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Adapts positively to change, multiple projects, and unexpected challenges; open to feedback
- Builds strong cross-functional relationships and communicates effectively at all levels
- Inspires and motivates teams with passion and a clear vision
- Delivers outcomes with urgency, supports teams, and drives creative problem-solving
Benefits & Compensation
- This position’s estimated salary range is from $100,000 to $150,000, dependent on experience
- This position is location in the firm’s Dallas headquarters, with a hybrid work policy of 3 days a week in office
