Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will be pivotal in developing and enhancing financial reporting processes and materials for internal and external stakeholders, partnering with operations, business owners, and functional leaders. This position will offer a unique opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing and dynamic environment and would be a key member of the FP&A team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of financial analysis – management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial close activities, and strategic projects.
- Develop and update financial models and reports, monitor performance versus company goals, and understand business drivers to identify areas of improvement.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and tools as well as automated dynamic dashboards.
- Partner with operations, business owners, and functional leaders on cost center management, headcount planning, and business initiative supports.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to form recommendations with clear distinction between facts and opinions to support project evaluations and business decisions.
- Improve financial transparency with business partners to increase planning/reporting accuracy.
- Help the implementation or enhancement of financial systems (e.g., ERP and planning tools) and assist with other ad-hoc analytics, projects, and requests.
- Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and company policies.
- Occasionally travel to Las Vegas or other locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in finance, accounting, math, or economics.
- 2+ years of work experience in early-stage growth company, manufacturing or public company experience is desired.
- 4+ years in accounting and/or FP&A related experience, clear/strong understanding of financial statements and relevant accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively and timely manage, collaborate with, and influence key stakeholders.
- Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with FP&A systems / ERP systems as well as BI tools, SQL a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
