Our client is a leading international manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Senior Controller to join its Controlling team.

Operating across multiple production sites, the business is focused on driving operational excellence through financial transparency, robust planning processes and data-driven decision making. This role offers the opportunity to partner with senior leaders across Finance and Operations while contributing to the ongoing development of the company’s planning and performance management capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the business through financial planning, performance analysis and commercial insight.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes across multiple business units.
  • Delivering detailed variance analysis and performance reporting to senior management.
  • Preparing financial models to support investment decisions, operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations teams to analyse production performance, costs and profitability.
  • Monitoring manufacturing KPIs, operational efficiencies, inventory performance and cost drivers.
  • Supporting long-term planning, scenario modelling and business forecasting.
  • Working closely with Finance Systems and IT teams to enhance Controlling processes and reporting capabilities.
  • Contributing to the development and optimisation of the company’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) environment.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting automation, planning accuracy and business insight.

Your Profile

We’re looking for a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong analytical skills with the ability to influence operational stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • Several years’ experience within Controlling, Commercial Finance or Financial Planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling and management reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud (Planning)
  • A good understanding of how EPM solutions support budgeting, forecasting, driver-based planning, management reporting and performance analysis.
  • Experience working alongside Finance Systems, ERP or Digital Finance teams to improve planning and reporting processes.
  • Strong SAP experience (SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC preferred) together with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across Finance, Operations and Manufacturing.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline. Professional qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
