We have partnered with a client looking for a Senior Anaplan Manager who will be a key member of the FP&A Transformation Center of Excellence, responsible for building, updating, training, testing, supporting, and maintaining Anaplan models. This role involves collaborating with various business units and implementation partners to ensure Anaplan models are effectively designed, built, and maintained to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a customer-focused culture by strengthening stakeholder relationships and leveraging organizational systems, knowledge, and partnerships, while embedding risk management principles and operational controls into day-to-day decision-making.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to understand evolving business needs, ensure alignment of Anaplan solutions with organizational strategy, and contribute to ongoing transformation and innovation in planning processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and implementation partners to understand business processes and requirements, translate them into functional specifications and use cases, and develop well-designed Anaplan models using established best practices.
  • Design and build connected Anaplan solutions, including architecture recommendations, module development, user experience enhancements, data integrations, and reconciliation processes that support complex business planning requirements.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis to resolve system issues, lead updates to existing models to accommodate changing requirements, maintain data integrity, manage access controls, and monitor overall system performance.
  • Oversee and execute comprehensive testing of Anaplan models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability, resolving defects and continuously improving the user experience.
  • Lead training sessions, develop supporting documentation, and provide ongoing technical guidance and troubleshooting to end users to drive adoption, proficiency, and long-term model sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred).
  • 3 + years’ experience delivering or supporting Anaplan implementations
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, data management, and integrating data from multiple systems using modern integration tools and techniques.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members
  • Anaplan certification (e.g., Certified Master Anaplanner) and experience working within a Center of Excellence or centralized model-building function.
  • Experience supporting FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes, particularly within organizations undergoing planning transformation initiatives.
