Oracle EPM Architect
$150k – $190k (base salary) | Remote (USA)

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Technology Manager, the ideal EPM Architect will be responsible for the development, optimization, and ongoing management of the global Oracle financial planning and consolidation systems. The Oracle EPM Architect will work with the technical teams and business stakeholders to design and implement solutions using Oracle’s EPM Cloud platform (EPBCS and FCC).
Job responsibilities:
- Develop advanced business rules using both Groovy scripting and Oracle Calculation Manager.
- Automate data management tasks through Python, Groovy, and EPM Automate tools.
- Create integrations using Cloud Data Management and other tools, including FDMEE and custom scripts.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the maintenance and enhancement of our global budgeting and forecasting systems.
- Support multiple Oracle EPM Cloud applications related to planning and consolidation.
- Develop and deliver innovative financial and operational reporting solutions, including dashboards and various reporting formats.
- Optimize system performance for planning and consolidation applications.
- Apply knowledge of key financial concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and KPIs.
- Collaborate within a team or independently, as required, to meet project goals.
- Provide ongoing support to users by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to business applications.
- Conduct various testing phases, such as integration and user acceptance, to ensure system functionality.
- Document system processes, design specifications, test plans, and user guides as needed.
Job requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Hyperion on-premise applications, with at least 3 years focused on the EPM Cloud, including EPBCS, FCCS, Narrative and Management Reporting, and EPM Automate.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle EPM architecture, including both on-premises and cloud-based hybrid models.
- Proficient in writing complex business rules in Oracle’s Calculation Manager and Groovy scripting.
- Deep understanding of EPBCS components, including metadata administration, data migration, security configuration, and system optimization.
- Experience in automation through SQL scripting, batch processing, and EPM Automate.
- Expert-level knowledge of automation for data loads and integrations using FDMEE and related tools.
- Proficient in financial reporting development, including dashboards, pivot tables, and snapshot reports.
- Strong financial and process knowledge, enabling you to align technology solutions with business needs.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and system enhancements.
