IT Finance Analyst

London Area, United Kingdom (On-site) £70K/yr - £80K/yr Permanent

About the job

IT Finance Analyst (6–12 Month Fixed-Term Contract) – Hybrid, London.

We are supporting a leading organisation in London looking to appoint an IT Finance Analyst on a fixed-term contract (minimum 6 months, with potential to extend to 12 months). This role sits within a collaborative finance team and will focus on supporting financial planning, forecasting, and transformation initiatives across the technology function.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, working with data, and improving financial processes. The role will involve supporting forecasting cycles, reviewing actuals, and helping the team improve how financial data is captured and analysed, particularly within planning tools such as TM1.

You will work in a fast-paced, evolving environment where a proactive mindset and willingness to get stuck in are just as important as technical skills.

What you’ll be doing:

You will support the finance team with forecasting and planning activities related to the IT function, including reviewing financial performance, analysing variances, and inputting financial data into planning systems such as TM1. The role will involve maintaining financial models, supporting forecasting cycles, and helping the team navigate complex financial and data challenges.

Alongside core planning responsibilities, you will also support transformation initiatives across finance, helping improve forecasting models, streamline reporting processes, and enhance the quality of financial insights provided to stakeholders. The role will involve ad-hoc financial analysis and problem solving, supporting a variety of projects as the team continues to evolve its finance processes.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across different challenges, driving improvements, and contributing to meaningful change within a finance function.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • 8–15 years’ experience in finance, ideally within FP&A, business partnering, or analytical finance roles
  • Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes
  • Exposure to financial planning tools such as TM1 or similar systems
  • Comfortable working with data-heavy environments and financial analysis
  • Experience supporting finance transformation or process improvements is beneficial
  • Technology or IT finance exposure is advantageous but not essential
