Financial Systems Analyst
Base Salary: $85,000 – $125,000

A rapidly growing company in the healthcare space is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Analyst to join its team!
About the Role
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the firm’s financial systems, enhancing the systems and revenue processes for the organization. This would include planning system changes, and implementing, testing, and validating the enhancements to the systems.
This role would be the liaison between the firm’s accounting, revenue operations, billing, and IT teams to ensure the efficiency of the systems.
A strong background in accounting or finance, particularly as a ERP systems analyst, will be critical for this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with with business stakeholders to understand financial requirements and translate them into requirement documentation and architectural designs
- Lead the implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of financial systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with industry standards
- Analyze and enhance financial processes and workflows, improving efficiency, accuracy, and control through automation and modern technologies
- Help with triage, disposition and remediation of emerging production support requests and issues
- Assess the feasibility and cost effectiveness of proposed solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce data governance and security standards across financial systems
- Serve as a subject matter expert on financial systems and processes, offering training, guidance, and support to stakeholders throughout the organization
- Participates in staff meetings and workgroups by providing constructive input for process improvements and solutions
- Support the accounting team during month-end close by managing financial system data flows and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely provision of revenue data across systems for month end close journal entries to be prepared and aid the accounting team in applying ASC 606 and healthcare-specific revenue recognition policies
- Work closely with billing, collections, and compliance teams to identify and resolve issues related to data within ModMed, AWS, and Sage Intacct systems
- Assist the FP&A team in updating revenue forecasts in Workday and in calculating provider compensation and accruals
- Assist the financial operations team in researching and responding to questions regarding revenue variances by clinic location
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation for financial systems, workflows, and policies
- Provide support for ad-hoc requests, financial analysis, and special projects as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in accounting and/or finance
- Experience with a rapidly-growing organization with multiple locations, preferably with a healthcare organization
- Expert level knowledge of financial systems and processes
- Expertise with revenue processes and data conversion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel skills, such as pivots, lookups, and formula driven spreadsheets
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Strong overall business acumen with ability to apply appropriate technologies to achieve business objectives
Preferred Skills
- Active CPA License
- Familiarity with SQL or other query languages for data analysis
- Financial Reporting Experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $85,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience
