About the Opportunity

A fast-growing enterprise planning technology company is seeking a Professional Services Manager to take ownership of complex customer implementations from initial scoping through successful delivery.

This is not a traditional project management position. You’ll combine EPM implementation expertise, FP&A knowledge, client leadership, and project delivery, working directly with customers before and after deals are signed.

You’ll own projects end-to-end, partner with Sales during the pre-sales process, oversee both internal and partner-led implementations, and act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance stakeholders throughout their transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Project Delivery

  • Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise planning implementations, from pre-sales scoping through kickoff, delivery, and value realization
  • Develop project plans, sprint plans, budgets, resource plans, and supporting delivery documentation
  • Manage scope, project risk, change control, timelines, and stakeholder expectations
  • Identify potential delivery risks early and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Manage multi-workstream projects involving both technical delivery and organizational change
  • Oversee implementations delivered directly to customers as well as projects delivered through third-party partners
  • Ensure internal and external delivery teams maintain consistently high quality standards

Pre-Sales & Solution Scoping

  • Partner with Sales throughout the pre-sales cycle
  • Scope prospective implementation projects and estimate delivery effort
  • Develop and present Statements of Work (SOWs) directly to customers
  • Establish clear expectations around scope, timelines, resources, and delivery before contracts are signed
  • Critically evaluate project scope and identify potential delivery risks before implementation begins

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance and business stakeholders
  • Advise customers on process and organizational changes required to maximize value from their planning platform
  • Facilitate discussions across technical and business stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, Support, Customer Success, and implementation partners to provide a consistent client experience

Delivery Excellence & Innovation

  • Develop strong enough platform knowledge to help unblock teams on product and FP&A-related questions
  • Help evolve implementation methodologies, templates, sprint structures, and design practices
  • Explore and deploy AI capabilities to accelerate implementation delivery and improve the customer experience
  • Mentor junior delivery professionals and partner-side consultants
  • Help establish and maintain delivery standards across the wider Professional Services organization

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning or EPM platform
  • Strong understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation
  • Experience scoping implementation projects during the pre-sales process
  • Experience developing and presenting SOWs directly to customers
  • Experience managing implementations delivered through third-party partners or resellers
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder and multi-workstream implementation projects
  • Ability to understand technical project scope and proactively identify delivery risks
  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
  • Confidence working with and influencing senior Finance stakeholders
  • Experience with SaaS project management tools and Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies

Preferred Experience

  • Workforce Planning or additional enterprise planning use cases
  • Experience across multiple EPM or financial planning platforms
  • Formal Project Management qualifications or certifications
  • Experience mentoring junior consultants or delivery professionals
  • Exposure to AI-enabled implementation or delivery processes

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Equity participation
  • Competitive vacation policy
  • Medical insurance
  • Learning & Development budget
  • Wellbeing platform access
  • Language learning opportunities
