Engagement Manager – Finance Transformation & EPM
💼 Permanent
📍 UK, Remote
About the role
We are partnering with a growing boutique consultancy specialising in Finance Transformation (EPM) to recruit its first dedicated Engagement Manager.
The consultancy delivers complex EPM solutions for Finance teams, helping organisations improve areas such as planning, forecasting, consolidation and financial reporting.
Until now, its consultants have managed project coordination, client engagement and delivery management alongside their consulting responsibilities. As the business continues to grow, they are now looking for someone to take ownership of this area and build out a dedicated PMO and engagement-management function.
This is an opportunity to sit at the heart of Finance Transformation delivery – bringing structure across multiple EPM projects, coordinating consulting teams, managing senior Finance stakeholders and helping ensure projects are delivered successfully.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of EPM / Finance Transformation projects
- Lead project planning and coordination across multiple client engagements
- Act as a key point of contact for senior Finance stakeholders throughout delivery
- Coordinate consulting teams across functional and technical workstreams
- Monitor project plans, milestones, risks, actions, dependencies and deliverables
- Support project forecasting, capacity planning and consultant resourcing
- Establish and develop the consultancy’s PMO structure, processes and reporting
- Introduce consistent project governance and delivery standards across EPM engagements
- Work closely with consultants and senior leadership to identify and resolve delivery risks
- Ensure Finance Transformation projects are delivered on time, within scope and to a high standard
About you
- 3+ years’ experience within Finance Transformation or EPM / ERP consulting
- Experience working on the delivery / implementation of EPM or ERP systems, e.g. SAP BPC, Anaplan, Tagetik, OneStream, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle.
- Previous experience in Engagement Management, Project Management, Programme Management or PMO
- Strong understanding of how Finance Transformation projects are structured and delivered
- Experience coordinating consulting teams and multiple project workstreams
- Strong project planning, governance and organisational skills
- Confidence managing senior Finance stakeholders and acting as a client point of contact
- Experience with project forecasting, capacity planning and resource management
- A proactive approach and the confidence to build PMO processes from the ground up
This could be a great opportunity for someone already working within Finance Transformation / EPM consulting who enjoys the project management side of transformation and wants more ownership over how engagements are run.
