A manufacturing company in North Carolina are looking for experienced cost accountants, especially with experience in the same sector.
They’ve been doing business in the US since the 1800s, maintaining multi-million revenue streams, great stability and working culture throughout that time. This is a brand new role as part of a growing team, with plenty of work to get stuck into from day one, given many upcoming projects with their parent company – a multi-billion dollar international corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing inventory records, managing reconciliations for inventory systems with the general ledger, monthly inventory transaction analysis and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Compiling data for financial reporting.
- Managing the inventory master file and bill of materials.
- Assisting in the budget processes and standard costing.
- Ensuring compliance with excise tax regulations, reconciling daily inventory movement, and preparing excise tax returns.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of cost accounting experience, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, ideally CMA.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter with experience in ERP applications in a manufacturing environment.
