Assistant Controller

An international, private equity–backed consumer business is looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to lead group consolidation, close processes and compliance across a multi-entity global structure.

This role will take ownership of consolidated reporting, oversee the month-end close process, support audit and tax compliance across multiple entities, and manage intercompany accounting. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening controls, improving reporting timelines, and supporting systems enhancements (NetSuite specifically).

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, growing environment and who is confident partnering across finance and non-finance teams. The Connecticut office also houses most of the C-Suite, who you will collaborate closely with in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead group month-end close and consolidation across multiple entities and currencies
  • Prepare consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
  • Ensure IFRS-compliant reporting, including intercompany eliminations and FX
  • Support statutory reporting, audit and tax processes across international jurisdictions
  • Maintain transfer pricing and intercompany documentation
  • Partner with AR, AP, inventory and commercial teams to improve reporting accuracy and timelines
  • Contribute to finance systems implementation and process improvements

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA / CA (or equivalent) qualified
  • 7+ years’ experience in financial reporting or controllership within a multi-entity environment
  • Strong technical IFRS knowledge
  • Proven consolidation experience in a global business
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
