About the Role
I am partnering with a leading global consulting firm within its Connected Planning practice to hire an Anaplan Model Builder. In this role, you will help design and deliver best-in-class Anaplan solutions that replace legacy, home-grown planning processes with scalable, high-performing models.
You will support end-to-end Anaplan implementations, working closely with project teams and clients to gather requirements, contribute to solution architecture, build optimized models, and support testing, deployment, and user adoption.
This position sits at the intersection of data, planning, and business strategy, offering strong exposure to enterprise planning solutions and the opportunity to work across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning implementations from requirements gathering through design, build, testing, and training
- Translate Excel-based and home-grown models into scalable, multi-dimensional planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan or similar tools)
- Design, build, and maintain financial and operational models, dashboards, and reports
- Provide subject matter expertise in financial and operational management systems
- Manage shared services including metadata, security, task lists, rules, and planning artifacts
- Design and manage data integrations, automation, and inbound/outbound data flows
- Apply strong accounting fundamentals across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
- Work with enterprise data sources (e.g., ERP systems) and support performance tuning
- Develop design documentation, functional specifications, test plans, and support system testing
- Advise stakeholders, support process change, and collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Leverage experience across at least two industry verticals (e.g., Finance, Pharma, Energy)
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in business consulting or system implementations using Anaplan, multi-dimensional planning tools, or spreadsheet-based solutions
- Comfortable working across technical and functional teams and collaborating with end users
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, including data troubleshooting
- Experience with solution roadmaps, user stories, functional specifications, and testing methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to at least two industry verticals such as Finance, Pharma, or Energy
