Title: Anaplan – Senior Solution Architect

Base Salary: $150,000–$190,000 USD

About the Company

A fast-growing, established software organization is expanding its internal Finance Systems function and looking to hire a Senior Anaplan Solution Architect.

The organization has made a significant investment in Anaplan and is continuing to expand how the platform supports Finance and enterprise planning across the business.

This position will join an established Anaplan environment and play a key role in the continued development, architecture, and optimization of the platform.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, hands-on Anaplan position combining Solution Architecture, model development, and direct partnership with Finance stakeholders.

You will take ownership of Anaplan solutions throughout the development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing architecture through hands-on build, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization.

The environment supports a range of FP&A and enterprise financial planning use cases, giving you the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, architect, build, and maintain scalable Anaplan solutions
• Take ownership of solutions from initial requirements through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements
• Partner directly with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions
• Design scalable model structures across modules, lists, hierarchies, dimensions, and calculations
• Establish and maintain Anaplan architecture and model-building best practices
• Build and optimize complex calculations and planning logic
• Review and enhance existing models while considering performance and downstream dependencies
• Troubleshoot model performance, data issues, calculation errors, and unexpected system behavior
• Support data flows and integrations between Anaplan and wider enterprise systems
• Manage development and releases across multiple Anaplan environments
• Support testing and user acceptance processes with business stakeholders
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across Anaplan and connected systems
• Maintain appropriate documentation around model architecture, development, and changes
• Support platform governance, user access, planning scenarios, and ongoing configuration

Ideal Background

• 6+ years of strong hands-on Anaplan experience
• Significant experience designing and building complex Anaplan models
• Strong understanding of Anaplan Solution Architecture and model design
• Anaplan Level 2 certification or higher
• Experience working directly with FP&A and Finance stakeholders
• Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Advanced Anaplan formula-writing and model-building capabilities
• Strong understanding of Anaplan architecture, dimensionality, hierarchies, and model performance
• Experience working with integrations and enterprise data sources
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and enhance existing model architecture
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• Structured approach to testing, validation, documentation, and governance
• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience

• Previous hands-on FP&A experience
• Experience within a large or fast-growing organization
• Experience designing or maintaining Anaplan integrations
• Experience supporting complex financial planning models
• Higher-level Anaplan certifications
