EPM Planning Administrator

I am working with a leading manufacturing organization that is looking to hire an experienced EPM / Financial Systems professional to take ownership of its business-critical Oracle Enterprise Performance Management environment.

This is a brand-new position that will serve as the primary internal resource for the organization’s EPM Planning platform, with responsibility for its day-to-day administration, support, enhancement, and continued development.

Previous Oracle EPM experience is not required. My client is open to candidates with experience administering or supporting other EPM, CPM, planning, budgeting, or financial performance management platforms, with training and cross-training into Oracle EPM provided.

You will work closely with Finance, FP&A, and IT to ensure the platform effectively supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and wider financial planning activities.

The role is predominantly focused on EPM systems (approximately 70%), while providing continued exposure to the FP&A processes and business activities supported by the platform.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants genuine ownership of an EPM environment while developing their expertise within the Oracle EPM ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the day-to-day administration, support, and enhancement of the Oracle EPM Planning environment.
• Manage areas such as metadata, dimensions, business rules, forms, workflows, security, and reporting.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial planning cycles.
• Partner closely with FP&A to understand requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.
• Troubleshoot application and data issues and support Finance users.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, usability, and overall system performance.
• Support future EPM enhancements, integrations, and implementation projects.
• Maintain system documentation and provide guidance/training to users where required.

FP&A & Business Partnership

• Alongside ownership of the EPM platform, the successful candidate will remain closely connected to the financial processes the application supports, including:
• Budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Monthly and quarterly management reporting.
• Financial and operational reporting.
• Variance analysis and investigation of key performance drivers.
• Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis.

What My Client Is Looking For

• Hands-on experience with an EPM, CPM, budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, or related financial systems platform.
• Experience administering, configuring, supporting, or developing an enterprise financial application.
• Exposure to areas such as metadata, dimensions, calculations, workflows, security, integrations, or reporting.
• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively across both Finance and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Technology, Business, or a related discipline.

Candidates coming from another EPM or financial planning technology will receive training and cross-training into Oracle EPM.
