A leading international retail business is looking to appoint an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to strengthen its finance function in Paris.

Operating across multiple markets, the business is investing heavily in its commercial and financial planning capabilities, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions and driving improvements through data, technology and financial insight.

This role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day performance management and longer-term finance transformation initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will work closely with Finance, Commercial and Operational teams to provide meaningful financial analysis and support key business decisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the budgeting, forecasting and monthly planning cycles.
  • Producing insightful financial reporting, dashboards and variance analysis for senior leadership.
  • Developing financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities and commercial initiatives.
  • Supporting strategic planning and long-term financial forecasting.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve financial performance.
  • Monitoring sales, margins, operating costs and other retail performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Supporting scenario planning and business modelling for strategic projects.
  • Working with Finance Systems and Transformation teams to enhance planning processes and reporting efficiencies.
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and optimisation of the organisation’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) environment.

About You

You’ll be an inquisitive and commercially focused finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Strong experience within FP&A, commercial finance or business planning.
  • Previous experience within Retail, Consumer Goods, FMCG or another fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Hands-on experience using Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions such as Anaplan
  • A sound understanding of planning, forecasting, driver-based modelling and management reporting within an EPM environment.
  • Experience partnering with Finance Systems or Digital Finance teams to improve planning and reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience of Power BI or similar reporting tools viewed favourably.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) would be advantageous.
