About the job
My client, a growing and well-established company, is looking to bring on an FP&A Manager with strong Vena experience to support the next phase of growth within their finance team.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being close to both the numbers and the systems behind them. The team is looking for someone who can help drive the planning process, improve reporting, and take ownership of the Vena platform from a finance perspective.
You would be joining a collaborative environment where finance is viewed as a true business partner across the organization. There is a strong appetite for process improvement and automation, so this is an opportunity to come in and genuinely influence how the team operates moving forward.
Reporting into finance leadership, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across multiple business units while helping modernize and streamline FP&A processes. The role offers strong visibility, autonomy, and the chance to make a noticeable impact fairly quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial planning cycles
- Manage and improve the organization’s Vena models, templates, and reporting processes
- Work closely with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Prepare variance analysis, management reporting, and performance dashboards
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and automate manual processes
- Support ongoing enhancements across FP&A systems and workflows
- Assist with executive-level presentations and ad hoc analysis
- Help coach and support more junior members of the finance team
What they’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience working within Vena
- Strong FP&A foundation with experience in forecasting, reporting, and analysis
- Someone comfortable interacting with stakeholders across the business
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- A process improvement mindset with an interest in systems and automation
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly
- CPA designation (or progress toward one) is an asset
