A tight-knit, growing private investment and asset management firm is looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting, treasury, and property-level finance operations.

This is a senior leadership role within the finance team, overseeing a group of accounting professionals and working closely with executive leadership, operations, and capital markets teams. The position will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, managing liquidity, and supporting the continued growth of a large, multi-asset portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Accounting

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Produce financial and management reporting to support strategic decision making
  • Oversee chart of accounts management, system administration, and accounting workflows
  • Evaluate and improve accounting systems and supporting databases

Treasury Management

  • Manage short- and long-term liquidity forecasting
  • Oversee treasury operations including cash management, AP, AR, and revenue processes
  • Maintain relationships with banking partners
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve reporting and data management

Property Accounting Oversight

  • Manage a team responsible for property-level accounting and reporting
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly reporting requirements
  • Partner with tax and finance teams to support filings and financial forecasting

Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management
  • Partner with finance and systems leaders to ensure the right processes and technology are in place

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s preferred)
  • CPA or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Experience leading accounting teams within a complex or multi-entity environment
  • Strong financial reporting and treasury management experience
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across Microsoft Office
