The ideal candidate will have experience with Vena Solutions in additional to substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries across multiple ERP platforms, ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.
- Conduct and evaluate balance sheet reconciliations, confirming the general ledger is properly maintained and accurate.
- Produce timely and precise financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Design and maintain internal controls to safeguard the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Assess existing accounting procedures and recommend enhancements for improved efficiency and precision.
- Interpret financial data, investigate variances, and develop reports to highlight trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal policies.
- Keep abreast of updates in accounting standards and industry best practices.
- Support and contribute to special projects as required.
- Manage intercompany account reconciliations and perform foreign currency revaluations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
