Lead Oracle EPM Consultant

Salary: $160,000- $190,000 (+ bonus)

Location: Remote (US, must be open to travel)

My client is a leading Oracle SI / Implementation Partner who is seeking an experienced consultant to take the lead in driving Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Planning projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical, who can design, implement, and optimize complex Cloud Planning systems. You will work closely with business teams to deliver customized, scalable Oracle EPM Planning solutions that align with the organization’s needs.

Job responsibilities:

• Architect and deploy Oracle EPM Planning solutions, tailored to specific business requirements and the client’s financial and operational strategies.
• Oversee the end-to-end implementation process for EPM Planning and Essbase, including setup, configuration, custom development, and seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain Essbase cubes, calculation scripts, business rules, and databases to support key functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, outline solution architecture, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Enhance performance and scalability of EPM Planning and Essbase platforms through advanced tuning, capacity management, and infrastructure optimization.
• Offer ongoing support and issue resolution for existing solutions, providing system enhancements, troubleshooting, and user training.
• Stay informed on updates, patches, and emerging best practices for Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase products, making recommendations for improvements.
• Engage in pre-sales activities as needed, helping to shape client solutions and presentations, and showcasing company’s offerings to prospective clients.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and providing guidance on EPM Planning and Essbase technologies.

Job qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Planning and Essbase, including design, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle Hyperion EPM Suite, both on-premises and cloud-based, covering modules like Financials, Workforce, Capital, Projects, as well as Custom and FreeForm apps, Essbase, Calculation Manager, Groovy scripting, and Smart View. Familiarity with Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM) and/or Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is a plus.
• Proven track record of leading over 5 full-cycle Planning and Essbase implementations, covering Requirements, Design, Build, Testing, and Deployment phases.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and data integration techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to convert business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required for project and client needs.
