Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to join the dynamic and collaborative accounting team. This role will bridge multiple entities, systems, and teams, playing a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting during a period of significant operational integration.

You will be involved in consolidation, account reconciliations, process evaluation, and the implementation of financial tools, including Vena. This is a high-impact role designed for someone who can work cross-functionally and communicate complex accounting or system matters in plain language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple ERP systems.
  • Ensure accuracy and proper support for all financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and calculate foreign currency revaluations.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Analyze variances and trends; prepare insightful reports for management.
  • Partner with FP&A and other departments to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support post-merger integration and consolidation efforts.
  • Assist with Vena implementation, structure validation, and data setup.
  • Serve as a liaison between teams to ensure alignment and minimize miscommunication.
  • Participate in audits and special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems and high-transaction environments.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or Master’s in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience with Vena Solutions.
  • Background in distribution, manufacturing, or shared services.
  • Experience navigating M&A transitions or system integrations.
  • Familiarity with Power BI.
  • Exposure to AS400 or other legacy systems is a plus.
