Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities to join the dynamic and collaborative accounting team. This role will bridge multiple entities, systems, and teams, playing a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting during a period of significant operational integration.
You will be involved in consolidation, account reconciliations, process evaluation, and the implementation of financial tools, including Vena. This is a high-impact role designed for someone who can work cross-functionally and communicate complex accounting or system matters in plain language.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations across multiple ERP systems.
- Ensure accuracy and proper support for all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
- Reconcile intercompany accounts and calculate foreign currency revaluations.
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Analyze variances and trends; prepare insightful reports for management.
- Partner with FP&A and other departments to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Support post-merger integration and consolidation efforts.
- Assist with Vena implementation, structure validation, and data setup.
- Serve as a liaison between teams to ensure alignment and minimize miscommunication.
- Participate in audits and special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior-level role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with multiple ERP systems and high-transaction environments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification or Master’s in Accounting/Finance.
- Experience with Vena Solutions.
- Background in distribution, manufacturing, or shared services.
- Experience navigating M&A transitions or system integrations.
- Familiarity with Power BI.
- Exposure to AS400 or other legacy systems is a plus.
