Senior Financial Analyst

Leading manufacturing organization is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join the team, focusing on Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functions. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and managing FP&A systems and reports that play a crucial role in guiding strategic decisions within our multi-billion-dollar organization.

You will collaborate closely with business leaders, providing valuable insights and additional analysis to enhance business understanding. The ideal candidate is a driven and tech-savvy individual who thrives in collaborative settings and enjoys interacting with various departments and levels across the company. This role requires clear communication of financial outcomes, delivering concise explanations, and effectively addressing inquiries related to financial data. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly close and forecasting process by consolidating data from various departments.
  • Partner with FP&A team members to lead the annual budget process, developing budgets from the ground up for different areas of the business.
  • Gather, analyze, and manage financial data to produce reports for monthly profit and loss analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Maintain and enhance FP&A software systems for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Offer insights during monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify the factors driving variances, and provide commentary on current and future trends.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for senior management as needed.
  • Apply your knowledge of financial forecasting, analysis, basic accounting principles, and operations to support the business.
  • Build strong relationships with other departments to foster collaboration.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or business.
  • 4+ years of experience in a finance or FP&A-related position
  • Proficiency in using Oracle EPM, OneStream, TM1, Hyperion, or similar forecasting and planning tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling abilities.
