Oracle Infrastructure – Pre-Sales Lead
I’m working with a Global Oracle Implementation Partner that focuses on Enterprise Technology and Cloud Advisory, which is looking for a Pre-Sales Lead to join the team.
As a Pre-Sales Lead for Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in partnering closely with the Sales team to shape and win complex cloud and managed services opportunities. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers from early discovery through solution design and deal close, while clearly articulating business value, differentiation, and delivery confidence.
This role blends technical depth, customer influence, and commercial impact, requiring the ability to translate business challenges into compelling infrastructure and cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Leadership & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the go-to technical authority in pre-sales activities, including discovery, solution design, demos, and pitch delivery to both technical and executive audiences.
- Drive technical conversations that position he Consultancy as the trusted advisor, capable of delivering end-to-end infrastructure and cloud outcomes.
- Partner with Sales to identify customer pain points, align solutions to business outcomes, and create compelling business cases that clearly differentiate Consultancy’s value proposition.
Solution Strategy & Design
- Lead architecture and solutioning across public cloud (AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), private, and hybrid environments, ensuring alignment with customer goals and industry best practices.
- Translate complex requirements into scalable, cost-effective solutions that support clients’ transformation journeys and map directly to revenue opportunities.
Deal Enablement & Commercial Impact
- Support and win complex opportunities by contributing to RFP responses, proposals, pricing discussions, and technical negotiations.
- Work closely with Delivery and Product teams to ensure proposed solutions are deliverable, efficient, and optimized for long-term customer success.
Thought Leadership & Competitive Insight
- Stay current on emerging trends across cloud, infrastructure, managed services, and competitive offerings to reinforce Consultancy’s strategic advantage in the marketplace.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, sales engineering, technical consulting, or cloud managed services delivery, with strong involvement supporting sales cycles.
- Demonstrated success providing pre-sales technical leadership and influencing customer decisions early in the sales process.
- Expertise in designing solutions spanning IaaS, server, OS, virtualization, storage, and networking in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Experience with Oracle applications and infrastructure platforms, and the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into business outcomes that support customers’ digital transformation objectives.
- Strong collaboration skills, uniting sales, delivery, and product to build cohesive and compelling client proposals.
- Travel up to ~50%, primarily for customer and partner meetings.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; AWS Solutions Architect certification is an advantage.
