About the job

Senior TM1 Developer

💼 Permanent, Full-time

📍 London, Hybrid – 3 days a week in office

💰 Up to £95,000 + Bonus & Benefits

I am working with a firm in London who is looking to hire a Senior TM1 Developer for their finance systems team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of a IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) environment that sits at the heart of the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. The role will see you shaping the system architecture, improving automation, and collaborating with senior finance leaders to deliver meaningful, data-driven insights.

The company offers a collaborative, supportive, and people-focused culture, where finance and technology teams work together to drive business improvement. They have a strong reputation for stability, innovation, and employee development, making it an excellent environment for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, develop, and optimise TM1 applications, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with business strategy.
  • Lead TM1 development initiatives related to cash flow tracking, revenue growth, and investment planning.
  • Review and rebuild complex TM1 architecture to deliver scalable, long-term solutions.
  • Run daily development scrum calls, provide quality assurance, and guide team members where needed.
  • Engage closely with Finance Directors and key stakeholders, providing commercially focused insights rather than just process updates.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance Systems to represent Finance in wider platform architecture discussions.
  • Own the TM1 toolset for T&F Finance, including system upgrades, configuration, and the relationship with IBM.
  • Collaborate on data integrations and reporting initiatives using Power BI and Alteryx.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven expertise in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) – architecture, cube design, rules, TI processes, and optimisation.
  • Experience managing multicurrency models, profit centres, and ethical entities within complex business environments is a MUST.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to communicate complex data in a clear, commercial way.
  • Confident leading projects, prioritising tasks, and resolving technical or operational conflicts.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx and Power BI (training provided if required).
  • BS degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
