Our client, a professional sports organization, is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to join the team and assist in administering Vena Solutions. The ideal candidate will be analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and making recommendations to support decision-making processes. This role involves working closely with various departments to improve financial performance and ensure the organization’s financial health.

This is an entry-level/associate position that reports directly into the VP of Finance and Controller, offering great opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management.
• Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations.
• Monitor market trends and economic conditions to inform financial planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist with accounting and month end close as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a financial analyst or accountant.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Vena, etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
