Our client is seeking a skilled FP&A/Adaptive Planning Contractor to join their high-performing finance team. This role will focus heavily on leveraging Workday Adaptive Planning to drive financial planning and analysis, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals.

Summary of the Role

As an FP&A/Adaptive Planning Contractor, you will play a critical role in the financial operations, assisting with month-end close processes, preparing board materials, and managing the company’s expense budget. You will be instrumental in providing insights to senior leadership, helping shape the financial direction of the company. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting and are eager to have a broad exposure to key components of an FP&A organization.


  • Assist with month-end accruals, perform monthly variance analysis against the budget for the entire company and individual departments, and prepare board materials on financial performance.
  • Maintain and manage forecast models, including key cost and revenue drivers, quarterly reforecasts, and the annual budget.
  • Support business units with KPI reporting on key operational, sales, and financial metrics.
  • Manage strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones.
  • Conduct complex financial analysis on various projects as required.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and other assignments as needed by the finance team and business units.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance-related roles.
  • Proficient in Workday Adaptive Planning Reporting & Modeling.
  • Advanced user of Excel; strong proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build driver-based forecasts in Excel.
  • Ability to present financial data effectively to executive audiences.
